 A PLN we did not discuss is LinkedIn. This is a great tool for anyone because it allows you to connect with other people in your field and see new ideas and content from those people.  That moment when...

 Distance learning has been very difficult for me these past couple of years, but especially this semester as I begin to have more face-to-face classes. I prefer seeing classmates every week and having meaningful discussions rather than participating through discussion boards once a week. I also feel as though distance learning provides a way for busy work to be assigned rather than assignments that really teach me something. I did like the flexibility of when I could do an assignment, however, I am an extreme procrastinator so sometimes it was difficult for me to force myself to get things done. If I were to teach a course that involved distance learning, I would try my hardest to include assignments that allowed students to think more critically as well as stray away from busy work. Open Educational Resources (OER) allows users to access several learning resources that are open for others to use and change for their own classes or educational purposes.        Some schools require teachers to keep an updated page on the school website. The type of information a teacher could include based on my findings was some form of contact information, a welcome to the class sentiment, the syllabus, resources, and a calendar with assignments uploaded to it. This looks like a great way for parents to be aware of what their student is doing in class without having to step on their student's toes by asking to see their assignments. Some websites are more detailed than others, but the majority have the information I previously stated along with some things that make it more specific to the course.  https://www.leonschools.net/Page/18627       Personally, I will utilize Google Drive because I feel like it is so easy to add documents to folders and while I prefer using word, the organization and cloud storage provided by Google are unmatched. In addition, I think Grammarly is an excellent tool and allows me to check spelling and grammar as I go so

       Diigo was hard to understand at first and to be honest, I didn't like the format. I do like the ability to share ideas within a group through articles and having things grouped by similar tags attached to the post. I like the ease with which I can save a bookmark to the group. Overall, it's not my favorite website that we've used this year and I most likely will not use it in the future, but for the purposes of this past week's assignments, it was good.     I enjoy blogging, I feel like I'm getting my thoughts out in a clear and cohesive way and I enjoy responding to prompts. I've learned how to make my blog look aesthetically pleasing based on what I put on the sidebar, the main posts, and other aspects of the blogging process. I appreciate the ability to post links to my social media or other blogs and allowing viewers to see those pieces of my content as well.
